why do i need a concealed firearms permit
School Grounds
There are restrictions relating to having a firearm on or near a school ground which do not apply to Utah CFP holders.
Reciprocity
Many states throughout the US recognize Utah's CFP and allow you to carry in their state as well.
Forgo background checks
Anytime you purchase a firearm in the state of Utah, the seller is required to conduct a background check. With your valid CFP, that requirement is waived and it saves you money.
Documented training
There is a great deal of responsibility that comes with carrying a weapon. Should you be involved in a use-of-force situation, the more documented training you can show the better your defense in court.
